Each walk group is scheduled for 12 weeks. Keep checking back for updates. Walking groups will use MetroLink or MetroBus to reach the site of each walk. Walks range from 0.3 miles to 2 miles. Questions about any walk, contact info@cmt-stl.org.

SPECIAL Spring 2012 TEN TOE WALKS
Ten Toe Kick-off:
When: Tuesday, April 10, 10 a.m.
Where to meet: Belleville, IL Metrolink station
Destination: Downtown Belleville
The group will depart the Belleville station for East Main Street. From there, they will travel to the square. Sites along the walk will include: commercial buildings from the 1850s to the 1960s in a variety of styles from Gothic, Italianate, and Art Deco to Functionalism; the oldest surviving church in Belleville; Turner Hall, which holds the largest Turner gymnasium in the US; the city hall designed by a local architect who gained national acclaim; and a last look at an art deco hotel before it is demolished. At the square, it will be explained why the square is a circle.
This walk will be led by Bob Brunkow and Larry Betz from the Belleville Historical Society. All are welcome and we hope you can join us as we kick off what is sure to be another great Spring Ten Toe Express session!
St. Louis Symphony Coffee Concert
When: Friday, April 27, 9 a.m.
Where to meet: Shrewsbury MetroLink Station
Destination: Powell Symphony Hall
Cost: $27 (includes concert and train/bus fare)
The group will depart the Shrewsbury Metro station (meet on platform area) for the Central West End Metro station, where they will then transfer to bus towards Grand and Lindell Blvd. From there, they will walk North on Grand towards Powell Symphony Hall for a morning coffee concert to start at 10:30 a.m. The concert will include musical selections to include: RIMSKY-KORSAKOV Skazka, RACHMANINOFF Piano Concerto No. 1, and SHOSTAKOVICH Symphony No. 1. Before the concert, the group is welcome to enjoy coffee and donuts (included with ticket), starting at 9:15 a.m.
Concert is limited to 30 people so make your reservation early if you would like to attend online or send in a check (made out to 'Citizens for Modern Transit').
